'52 Reissue Ash Telecaster in Butterscotch Lacquer

Given the model designation TL52-110 when it was created in about 1990, this "Made in Japan" '52 reissue Tele is one of those rare no-holds-barred efforts by Fender Japan's Fuji Gen Gakki craftsmen to produce the best, most authentic reissue Telecaster it was in their considerable power to make. These highest-end reissue guitars sometimes had the headstock imprint "Extrad" and sometimes "Custom Edition" and sometimes, as with this one, neither. But a look at its specs makes its top-shelf pedigree very clear.

It has a 100% lacquer butterscotch finish, US Fender Vintage pickups, US-made electronics, all-cloth-wrap wiring, a 2-piece center-joined ash body with impressive grain, and the US Fender '52-reissue bridge plate that was used on FJ's highest-end '52s of that period (the only serial number is the bridge plate number which was random and doesn't give the guitar a firm date.)

Its condition is essentially mint. It has zero fretwear. There are no dings. There are none of the finish issues that lacquer is susceptible to. It's all-original. Its condition taken together with its inherent quality makes it the finest Tele of its type we've ever been able to offer.

Its weight is 7 lbs 7 oz (3.4 kg) and it comes with a Fender tweed case.
